Full-sister to Arkle winner Edwardstone set for Southwell debut on Monday

Nothingtochance, a full-sister to last week's impressive Arkle Novices' Chase hero Edwardstone, is set to make her debut for Alan King and owner-breeders Robert Abrey and Ian Thurtle at Southwell (2.10).

The daughter of the great Kayf Tara is out of the winning point-to-point mare Nothingtoloose, a Luso half-sister to winning chaser and hurdler The Parishioner, and from the family of Scilly Isles Novices' Chase winner Patricksnineteenth.

It is safe to say her residual value was not done any harm by the exploits of Edwardstone, whose Cheltenham Festival victory was preceded by wins in the Henry VIII Novices' Chase, Wayward Lad Novices' Chase and Kingmaker Novices' Chase this season.

Also second in the Rossington Main Novices' Hurdle and third in the Betfair Hurdle and Pertemps Network Handicap Hurdle at the Aintree festival, Edwardstone was placed in all three bumpers including when second to dual Grade 1 winner Chantry House at Warwick, beating the smart Shan Blue in the process.

Edwardstone posted a career-best Racing Post Rating at Prestbury Park when beating Gabynako by four-and-a-half lengths, while he could bid for further top-flight success with a potential run at Aintree next month.

Tom, is riding at Southwell today with three booked rides.
