Nose away from handicap hurdle win here last time; no surprise if he takes well to fences.

Royal Pretender, twice successful over hurdles and placed in all his fourth subsequent races, switches to fences for the first time at Market Rasen.

3:00 JAY BEE WHY - COMMENTS

Back over hurdles with two good runs at Kempton this spring; tries a new trip today.

Jay Bee Why has taken the reverse trip and seems much happier back over the smaller obstacles.

3:35 METHUSALAR - COMMENTS

0-6 over hurdles but gave good account when third at Chepstow last month; respected.

Methusalar also makes the journey East. He made a pleasing reappearance after his winter break to finish third at Chepstow last month and should be sharper this time.

4:40 EGBERT - COMMENTS

Stuck to his task well when 7l third on debut at Hereford six weeks ago; leading contender.

while the Lincolnshire raid is completed by Egbert in the bumper. He is related to eight winners and made a promising start at Hereford last month.
