Warwick 28% +18.94

Tom has three booked rides to day at Warwick.

12:40 PECKINPAH 0-18 under both codes but consistent in the main and is on a competitive mark. Trainer Alan King Peckinpah He never looked happy around Fakenham last time, so back on a more conventional track I’d hope he shows the sort of form that he did previously at Leicester when finishing second. Unlike Notachance, drying ground would only enhance his chance.”

3:00 NOTACHANCE Last year's winner who took a step back in the right direction at Haydock; not ruled out. Trainer Alan King, has a 28% strike rate with his chases

showing a +18.94 Notachance attempts to repeat last year’s win in Warwick’s traditional January marathon, the Classic Chase, and, though Alan would have preferred more rain this week, conditions are still likely to be testing and the emphasis will again be on stamina.

Alan said:”I am a big fan of Warwick, and this race has been a lucky one for Barbury. We won the race with both D’Argent and West End Rocker and Notachance won really well last year and is now back down to the same mark. You can put a line through his next two runs as he was suffering from a nasty injury to a hind hoof, and then the ground was not slow enough for him on his seasonal return at Newcastle.

“Notachance jumped much better in the Tommy Whittle at Haydock when getting his favoured mud -bath again, belying his odds of 50-1 by travelling really well for a long way and only tiring at the third last. That race has put him spot on for this.

“Furthermore, we are trying him in a visor at Warwick and he looked very sharp when we worked him in one at home on Monday, so I hope he’ll again go well.”

3:35 THIRD WIND Best efforts on soft or heavy; failed to show much on good to soft in Gr1 last two starts. Trainer Tom Cannon has a 50% strike rate for the trainer showing a +3.50
