Tom has two booked rides today at Warwick

12:40 NON STOP - Placed at Sandown since narrow C&D win on hurdle debut in November; handicap debut today,

Owner - Gavigan Kennedy Sharp - Trainer - Joe Tizzard

3:00 NOTACHANCE - Won this race two years ago (soft) off 9lb higher; generally disappointing since.

Owners - David J S Sewell & Tim Leadbeater - Trainer - Alan King

Stable jockey Tom Cannon is off to Warwick to ride Notachance in the big staying handicap chase, the Wigley Group Classic Chase, which he won two years ago.

Alan said:”That was Notachance’s last win, but he is now 9lb lower than he was that day, since when things have not gone his way.”

Elaborating on the horse’s problems, Alan added:”He suffered an injury to his hoof in the Grand National Trial in his next race at Haydock, and it has taken a long time to get his confidence back.

“However, Notachance ran well on his comeback at Bangor two months ago, and as he has a good record fresh we have deliberately kept him back for this race since. Off a mark of 130, I hope that he might run really well, especially as he has been working great.”
